The Turner County Emergency Management department assesses hazards and prepares plans to respond to emergencies and disasters in order to minimize risk to people and property. We also meet with public safety officials, private companies and the public regarding emergency response plans while organizing emergency response training for staff, volunteers and other responders.

​Phases of emergency management also include: mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery and prevention of disasters.

Provides weather, water and climate data, forecasts, warnings, and impact-based decision support services.
