HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
Welcome to the Turner County Highway Department. Our goal is to provide a safe, efficient, and reliable highway infrastructure system. The Highway Department's responsibility is for the design, construction, and maintenance of 253 ½ miles of asphalt roads, 63 miles of gravel roads and the 555 bridges within Turner County.

The Highway Department
- Administration: Provides support and direction for all Highway Dept. services. Manages the County's pavement program and administers the highway improvement projects. Handles all permits for entrances, ditch cleaning, oversize/overweight, & utilities, handles township utility permits as well.
- Road Maintenance: Snow removal, paving, patching, culvert replacement, laying gravel, & mowing county ditches.
- Bridge & Sign maintenance: Deck repair, rail painting, scour protection, channel clearing, sign replacement, and traffic counts.
- Fleet Maintenance: Services and maintains all equipment , trucks, vehicles, and trailers within the County Highway department.
